In some circumstances coaches may have difficulty obtaining the necessary certification prior to the commencement of a Championship. In such cases it may be possible to obtain a certification exemption card. Application for an exemption card needs to be made to your provincial/territorial volleyball association.
Each province/territory may also have their own certification requirements for provincial competitions.
For more information on certification requirements for National Championships and the verification process consult the most recent Volleyball Competition Guide.
Theory Component
The Nova Scotia Department of Health Promotion and Protection is responsible for and offers the multi-sport theory components of the NCCP coaching certification program. Checking your NCCP Certification Status
Don't know what coaching certification you have or maybe you want to check your certification progress? You can check your certification records on line via the NCCP Certification Database. In the database you will be able to view and update your personal information, view your coaching records and print a certification transcript.
Make Ethical Decisions On Line Evaluation
As part of volleyball's NCCP all coaches are required to have completed the Make Ethical Decisions On Line Evaluation. This on line evaluation needs to be completed as part of the Make Ethical Decisions multi sport module, but coaches who obtained certification in the old NCCP Theory program (Theory 1, Theory 2, Theory 3) are also required to complete this evaluation.
The Make Ethical Decisions On Line Evaluation module can be accessed here.
Before you begin the module be aware of the following:
