Volleyball Nova Scotia is extremely pleased to announce that Halifax will be one of the host cities for the 2015 FIVB World League.

Volleyball Nova Scotia is extremely pleased to announce that Halifax will be one of the host cities for the 2015 FIVB World League. Our Men’s Senior National Team will take on Argentina at the Scotiabank Centre on June 5th and 6th in what is expected to be the biggest edition of World League ever. Canada is coming off a 7th place finish at World Championships and is in in a pool with Bulgaria (ranked 9th), Cuba (ranked 11th) and Argentina (ranked 6th).

“This is a great continuation after hosting the FIVB Beach International events and will now expose the province to the best indoor volleyball in the world.  It is a huge opportunity for the region and continues the International sporting event buzz created by the recently hosted Davis Cup,” commented Volleyball Nova Scotia President, David Swetnam.
 
“We were very excited to hear the news that World League will be coming to Halifax in June,” said Volleyball Nova Scotia Executive Director, Jason Trepanier. “It is very important for the development and growth of volleyball to be able to showcase the best our sport has to offer.”
