Chance to Medal for Both Beach Teams

The Men's Canada Games Team and Coach Andrew Costa all smiles after their big win against Ontario

Going into the last day of Beach Volleyball at the Canada Games, both Men and Women's teams have a chance to medal.

After a tough match against Ontario the Women’s Canada Games Beach Team falls short, landing them in the Bronze Medal Match today at 14:00 (CDT) against British Columbia. Micaela Sabean and Tori Haworth took Ontario further than most in the games with a 19-21 and 13-21 finish. With an opportunity to medal, Sabean, Haworth and coach Sasha Kosanov are heading into the last day of the games for beach volleyball.

 

The Men’s team played in a nail-biter against Ontario, winning in the third set 13-15. Kobe Mckeil Shannon, Christian Fricke and coach Andrew Costa are set to play in the Gold Medal Match tonight at 18:30 (CDT) against British Columbia.
