Police Record Check

Police Record Check

Volleyball Nova Scotia follows a strict policy whereby referees all team staff working directly with athletes in registered club programs (coaches, assistant coaches, managers and trainers) are required to complete a Police Record Check.

In order to make the process of acquiring a Police Record Check as painless as possible, VNS has partnered with Trustii, a service that allows you to obtain your own background check online.

This process is designed to be secure, simple, and fully digital, allowing you to complete all required steps quickly from your computer or mobile device.

Here's the link provided by Trustii to begin your verification.

The process includes:

  1. Providing your consent to proceed with the background check

  2. Sharing basic personal information like date of birth and legal name

  3. Declaring any past infraction

  4. Secure payment

  5. Validation of your identity through pictures of a piece of ID and a picture of yourself

Your information is handled confidentially and in compliance with applicable privacy laws. Trustii uses encrypted technology to ensure your data is protected at every stage of the process.

Most checks are completed within 10 minutes. The Trustii Team will notify you directly if additional information is required.

If you would prefer to acquire your Police Record Check from a local Police Department please fill out this FORM prior to going to the station.
