Responsible Coaching Movement

Volleyball Nova Scotia has taken the Responsible Coaching Movement (RCM) Pledge.

The RCM Pledge acknowledges a commitment from each club to take three important steps toward providing a Safe Sport environment for our athletes and coaches. Those steps include, Background Screening, Ethics Training and the Rule of Two. The Rule of Two is a commitment from organizations that have taken the Pledge to ensure that a coach is never alone and out of sight with a child.
 
The Responsible Coaching Movement is rapidly growing and becoming a best practice of Safe Sport across Canada, in all sports.  The RCM was developed by the Coaching Association of Canada and the Canadian Centre for Ethics with the goal of having every sport organization in Canada come on board.
